Canvas - Loveland Pass - Keystone, Colorado

from $45.00
Loveland Pass is a mountain pass located in Keystone, Colorado on US Route 6 with a peak elevation of 11,990ft and is part of the Intercontinental Divide where water decides whether it will flow east or west. Although the road has a steep, steady 6.7% grade and numerous hairpin turns making it hard to regularly plow, it's the highest mountain pass in Colorado that regularly stays open in the winter. The pass is located in the heart of ski country with Loveland Ski Area at one end of the pass and Arapahoe Basin at the other end. The view of the snow covered mountains from the peak of the pass, on a sunny day in the winter are awe inspiring. I was lucky to be passing through on a sunny day after fresh snow to capture this amazing picture looking towards the southwest with A-Basin just out of the picture to the left.
